CREATIVE HORROR FILM SERVICES
Below are general services I offer and the fees I charge. Please note that I am qualified to critique screenplays and market films in any genre, but I have targeted the horror field since that’s what I’m best known for. I do not offer any services for short films. Note that these prices are aimed at Indie, Low and No Budget filmmakers; I reserve the right to negotiate up on bigger projects, and down for certain projects. I will not work with any handwritten material! Screenplay Evaluation:
$500 Screen Treatment:
$1,000 Screenplay Revision: $1,000 Whether you want a screenplay collaborator, or someone to polish your work to make it presentable according to industry standards, or a ghost writer, I will rewrite your screenplay according to your specifications. I reserve the right to decline screenplay credit if I so choose; this is to prevent people from using my name to raise money or attract talent to a project. If that’s your intention, we must discuss it in advance. Original Draft Screenplay: $2,500 I will write an original draft screenplay for you from scratch. If you hire me to write a treatment for you at my standard $1,000 fee, I will provide a second draft screenplay at no extra charge. When I write an original screenplay at this low price, I also stipulate that I will be entitled to 5% of any net profits resulting from the exploitation of the final motion picture, made payable in the same manner as profits shall be distribute to other key creative members of the production team. Second Draft Screenplay:
$500 OTHER SERVICES Editing Consultation: $500 I will watch a rough cut of your movie, make notes and suggestions, and do a one hour consultation with you via telephone. As with Screen Treatments and Screenplays, I will then watch a subsequent cut and offer a 30 minute follow-up conversation when you reach that stage. Marketing Packages: A marketing campaign is essential for your film. Every film and filmmaker is unique, with their own needs. I am not an artist and I do not design graphics, although I can recommend qualified people to you. What I do is design a concept for presenting your film to the world; this may entail: - Creating tag lines and
advertising copy The list is endless. I can perform specific tasks or tell you how to do them yourself. Because of the individual nature of each project, it is impossible for me to generalize rates. I will say that I charge $65 an hour as a freelance copywriter, so consider that a starting point. The above rates should be considered generalizations. If you are a young or financially strapped filmmaker, I will do my best to work within your budget and to offer you advice which could save you years of development, production, post-production, and distribution hassles. -- Greg Lamberson
