Naked Fear

“Filled with creeping suspense and horror, solid photography and art direction, and you wouldn't be squirming in your chair nearly as much if you didn't care for the characters.”

--Roy Frumkes, Films in Review

NAKED FEAR, my third feature, is available as the second feature on POP Cinema’s SLIME CITY DVD, which features a commentary track for the film with myself, stars Robert Sabin and Tommy Sweeney, and special make-up effects artist Craig Lindberg.

It will also be included on GREG LAMBERSON'S SLIME CITY GRINDHOUSE COLLECTION, avaialble from POP Cinema on July 28th, 2009.

NAKED FEAR began as an experiment to set an entire film in one location, a NYC apartment. We ended up using two. This time I pitted Robert Sabin, the star of SLIME CITY, against Tommy Sweeney, the star of UNDYING LOVE. Robert stars as a man who suffers from agoraphobia, the fear of open spaces, and Tommy co-stars as his roommate, a serial killer who suffers from claustrophobia. Although we shot it on Hi 8 Video, I feel it's my best film. Phil Gallo made immeasurable contributions as our editor and post-production supervisor. NAKED FEAR screened at The Millennium in New York City, premiered at the Point CDC in the Bronx, and played at Two Boots Den of Cin and The Screening Room in Buffalo.

SFX make-up artist Craig Lindberg works some magic on Tommy Sweeney.
